Argentine guys entering their 50s, should really recall how famous the Ford Falcon was in the 1980s. This car was one of the first medium size models to arrive to Argentina and a test for manufacturers of the country new era of industrialization.
Its success was so huge that even after many years of the discontinuing of its manufacturing have passed, several Ford Falcon Fan Clubs continue to exist.
This way, it is certainly the most well-known and beloved model of the Ford family.
On the other hand, there exist a lot of detractors who claim that the Ford Falcon is actually an inconvenient car: not only did it look too "square" but it also was among the card that consumed the most fuel/kilometer driven.
And what do you think? Are you a Falcon supporter or detractor?

Buick Century
Stop thinking about Stephen King´s "From a Buick 8" horror movie... And take a look at this beauty!
The Buick Century was a model that chaged over time too many times but it always remained with a great look for this medium size car.
The Buick of the picture from instance is a 2-door coupe with a 350 V8 engine manufactured between 1973 and 1977. Then General Motors, owner of the Buick brand, would change the model.
But for me this 1973 model is the real thing!

Ford Torino
Wow! Clint Eastwood surely looks threating in this picture!
The Ford Torino was a classic of American culture in the early 1970s.
Not only was this car manufactured by the Ford Motors Corporation (a symbol of the American culture) but it also had a great acceptance among middle class owners.
The Ford Torino was initially the premium version of the Ford Fairlane but as hte years went by the Fairlane turned out in an actual subseries of the Torino.
Even though most of the Ford Torinos were aimed to massive consumption, Ford also developed a model for Nascar races. In this case, the car had powerful engines like the 429 cv Cobra Jet
Yank Tanks
Well, this is actually not just one particular car but a whole group of cars with similar characteristics. Some examples are the 1956 Ford, 1958 Dodge, 1957 Chevrolet.
Yank Tank is actually a slang term to refer to an interesting story: not only interesting about cars but also as History itself as well!
After the 1962 USA embargo against Cuba, the trde between the 2 countries was strictly cut. This led to a series of situations for Cubans such as the following:
- If you have bought an American car before 1962, then you weren´t going to be able to buy the replacement pieces if something was broke.
- You couldn´t buy any American car that was not officially registered before this embargo took place.
Currently, it is estimated that more than 50,000 Yank Tanks are still driven in Cuba.
This is a clear example that cars are also a reflection of everyday life and history itself!
